Decay

Decay : The process of demineralization (softening) of an area of tooth structure, left untreated, creates a decayed lesion (cavity) on the tooth.  If diagnosed early enough, demineralization can be reversed. The process of restoring decay begins with an analysis of the lesion with consideration of location and severity.
